Logistics and Distribution Center in Loulé.

The proposed solution for the Logistics Center in Loulé is based on a rigorous technical response to site conditions, the urban environment, and local zoning regulations (PDM). The project is structured through the articulation of two built volumes with distinct identities and functions, designed to organize both operational flow and the company's corporate image. The first volume, lower in height and positioned directly facing the street, serves as the public and administrative interface. This building features a double-height space that houses the product showroom and customer service area, integrating a suspended mezzanine for the offices. This configuration allows for strategic visual oversight from the administration over the exhibition area. The main entrance is architecturally defined by a spatial void and an inverted "L-shaped" canopy, ensuring a clear identification of the entry point. The second volume, a larger-scale recessed structure, is dedicated exclusively to the logistics warehouse. Dimensioned to accommodate three levels of racking, its functionality is optimized by a unidirectional circulation logic: goods entry to the North and shipping/picking to the South. The connection between both buildings is functional and internal, ensuring that support areas, such as employee locker rooms, have direct and exclusive access from the warehouse despite being located within the frontal volume. The distinction between these two functions is reinforced by materiality and color palette: while the logistics warehouse uses light grey metal cladding to soften its volumetric impact, the showroom features a more textured dark grey finish, providing a more expressive and distinct presence. The program is completed with meeting rooms, administrative offices, a staff kitchenette, and restroom facilities adapted for people with reduced mobility, ensuring an efficient workspace in full compliance with current legislation.
